Join us on August 12 for a unique workshop collaboration with The Bloom Freely Co!
Jocelyn Valencia will teach us how to journal and explore self-care practices, Jes Baker of The Militant Baker will deliver a motivational talk and we'll finish with a guided yoga practice from Emma Bell.
You'll leave inspired, invigorated, and equipped to practice daily self-care rituals! Be sure to wear your favorite yoga outfit!
Bloom Freely Co is a self-care focused brand that aims to cultivate spaces to #bloomfreely and is founded by writer/event curator, Jocelyn Valencia. In its debut season, this space looks like a thematic session where you get inspired by a keynote speaker, discover the benefits of self-care through journaling, and finish unfolding with guided yoga/meditation. In this session, flowers (a.k.a. you) will come to explore body positivity.
All materials are included, in addition to refreshments and light bites to enjoy! We do ask that you BYOM — bring your own yoga mat. :)
All of our workshops are structured to include time for 1:1 interaction between our guests and our experts.
The studio is wheelchair accessible.
About the Guest Experts:
Blogger, speaker, author, and former mental health professional — Jes Baker is on a mission to turn our society's concept of beauty on its oppressive head. She's the mastermind behind The Militant Baker blog, where she preaches the importance of body autonomy, self-love, mental health, strong coffee, and even stronger language.
Jocelyn Valencia is a writer, event curator, self-love enthusiast and lover of all beings blooming. She runs a lifestyle and insight blog called JRECOGNIZE, where she interviews creatives and influencers of all backgrounds. Jocelyn works closely with local non-profits (including the Tucson Poetry Festival and TEDxTucson) and is also the Co-Director of the annual Tucson Hip Hop Festival. Creating is her zen.
Emma Bell became a 200 hr RYT through YogaOasis and is also a graduate of the All Bodies Rise Yoga mentorship. She always includes variations and options so that everyone can experience stretching that is both pleasurable and safe for their unique wants and needs. She encourages self-compassion through the art of yoga, in hopes to also inspire a world where all bodies are free. All are welcome to show up to her class unapologetically as they are!
Workshop seats are nonrefundable as we purchase materials on a rolling basis. If you are unable to attend, you can sell your seat independently and send us the new name for the guest list.
