Mark your calendars, and please attend the second biennial Educational Congress for our field, which will be hosted by the Alliance for Massage Therapy Education from July 26-30, 2017 in Tucson, AZ.

The 2017 theme is “Elevating Standards of Excellence.” The second Educational Congress will take place over five days at the end of July 2017 in Tucson, Arizona from July 26-30. In addition to the pre- and post-conference events, the exhibit hall, keynote, and general and breakout sessions are scheduled for July 27, 28, and 29.

Our mission remains the same: To foster dialogue, inquiry, and creative problem-solving between and among organizations and individuals involved in massage therapy and bodywork education. We will provide opportunities to become informed about critical issues affecting our health industry, gather information, enhance teaching skills, and network.

Our intention: Is to gather a critical mass of educators and facilitate co-location of meeting space for various organizations to gather and collaborate. Organizations are encouraged to hold board meetings, offer content for Congress participants, report to the Congress on the current status of that organization, and receive public comment and feedback.

Leaders in this industry are encouraged to distinguish themselves and their organizations by supporting educational excellence within the profession.

We have planned an event that provides a much needed opportunity to become more informed about the critical issues affecting our profession and to encourage networking and collaboration in massage and bodywork education.

We have an exciting line up of speakers and presenters, including: Ruth Marion, Jason Erickson, Niki Munk, Pam Fitch, Stephanie Beck, Whitney Lowe, Dawn Hogue, Benny Vaughn, Julie Goodwin, Ruth Werner and Jerrilyn Cambron. There is a full week of activities from Wednesday, July 26 through Sunday, July 30, with the main events and exhibitor hall open July 27-29. We recommend that you fly in on Tuesday, July 25 and fly out Sunday or Monday (July 30 or 31).

The 2017 Educational Congress early bird price is $395 for members, $495 for non-members until April 30th. The Congress will feature two optional Pre-Conference workshops on Wednesday, July 26, including a «Mental Health First Aid» session presented by Tara McManaway (limited seating available, additional registration cost, more information at our website), as well as a «School Success Day» with sessions presented by Joe Bob Smith, Tony Mirando, Shane Sparks and Lex Filipowski (free to those who attend the Educational Congress). Lauren Cates will also be hosting an additional Post-Conference workshop called «Beyond Boundaries» on Sunday, July 30 (limited seating available, additional registration cost, more information at our website).

Book your rooms, get your flights together and join us in Tucson; this sure to be another historic event for our field!!!
