Come dance reggaeton to help raise funds for artists in Habana Cuba that have survived Hurrican Irma, but will continue to face the effects of this catastrophe. Let's come together to support our brothers and sisters of Cuba. The funds raised at this event will go directly to Cuban Artists (dancers, musicians, painters) that live and work in Habana, Cuba. This money will be used for food, housing, and supporting the artists in facing the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. Due to the lack of internet and electricity at this time, I will only be posting footage from before the Hurricane.
TEACHER AND CLASS:
Nunca Pare will be teaching a class based on cubaton movements, a bit of cuban salsa, and to finish up the night she will review the basics of rumba. Nunca has studied dance in Brazil, Ghana, and has recently returned from living in Habana, Cuba where she collaborated with Cuban Artists in an attempt to understand the role of creativity in relation to impermanence. Class will be full of energy and for a wonderful cause. All levels are welcome!
