Fri 4/27 El Tambo Fest, Night One: 1st Cumbia Summit of the Borderlands
Fri 5/4 El Tambo Fest, Night Two: Tropical DJ Massive
El Tambó is part of a movement of cultural platforms and parties that spans coast-to-coast and deep into diaspora. We welcome some of the producers of the best parties in the nation to converge in Tucson!
It’s never been done before! DJ’s and artists from both coasts and the southwest converge in Tucson for a massive night of cumbia, reggaetón, dancehall, moombahton, afrobeats and puro baile! We spotlight the important, young tropical / latinx cultural movement in Tucson and the US, putting emphasis on the relevance of diaspora and the critical contributions of women, queer artists and people of color. Each artist comes to El Tambó not only representing themselves, but their communities where they are each active cultural workers and movement organizers.
