Arizona Public Media, in partnership with Pima County Public Library, invites you to a FREE preview screening of PBS’ new eight-part series, THE GREAT AMERICAN READ.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Join us for a special sneak-peek of the premiere episode of The Great American Read PBS. After the screening, join moderator Mark McLemore (Arizona Spotlight) with Karen Greene (Pima County Public Library), Betty Stauffer (Literacy Connects) and Niamh Wallace (University of Arizona Libraries) as they engage in a conversation around the program.
Plus, prior to the screening and discussion, Arizona Public Media will be on-site filming book testimonials. We want to hear from YOU on which book on the list is your favorite and why!

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Seating is based on a first-come, first-serve basis.

ABOUT THE SERIES
THE GREAT AMERICAN READ is an eight-part television and online series designed to spark a national conversation about reading and the books that have inspired, moved, and shaped us. The series will engage audiences with a list of 100 diverse books. Audiences are encouraged to read the books, vote from the list of 100, and share their personal connections to the titles. Episodes from the series will feature appearances by celebrities, athletes, experts, authors, and everyday Americans advocating for their favorite book. THE GREAT AMERICAN READ premieres Tuesday, May 22 at 8 p.m. on PBS 6.
