Anatomy of Asana and Movement:
This training will help students understand the anatomy of movement in each joint involved in common yoga asana.
These trainings will explore the anatomy and biomechanics common yoga poses and students will walk away with a deeper understanding of what is happening inside the body while performing a pose. No prior anatomy or biomechanics knowledge is required to attend this class. At least two years of yoga experience is encouraged to allow students to get the most from the workshop.
Hip Opening:Saturday, May 19th 1:30pm — 4:00pm
The hip joint is the connection between the femur and pelvis and has normal range of motion. This workshop will give students the opportunity to see wh...at their normal motion of their hip and learn how to optimize the connections between their hips and low back.
Forward folds: Saturday, June 2nd 1:30pm to 4:00pm
Forward folds create space and stretch on the back of the body including the calves, hamstrings, and low back. This workshop will teach students techniques to assure safe and effective forward fold experience.
Twists: Saturday, June 30th 1:30pm to 4:00pm
Twists require the hips and rib cage to work together to create a healthy and nurturing experience in the body. This workshop will give student’s new insights on how to use their obliques, shoulders, and hips to improve their connection to their center.
