Arizona Wine Collective

If you were not aware, Southern Arizona now has its own AVA (American Viticultural Area). Two AVAs, in fact, which include Sonoita and Willcox. Over 30 different wineries throughout these regions churn out countless classic varietals, interpretations of classics, and downright experimental varietals. You can head into Arizona wine country and have a blast visiting all of the different wineries and tasting rooms, but how often would that, realistically, be a reality? It’s a semi-long drive, it’s hot in the summer, and you can only hit about four, assuming they’re all open. And while local wine is definitely appearing on local menus more and more frequently, it is neither the norm, nor the draw for most bars and restaurants. So husband and wife Pete and Jeanne Snell decided to open the Arizona Wine Collective in St. Phillips Plaza serving only wines from Arizona.
And Pawsitively Cats is excited to announce and thank Pete and Jeanne for inviting us, in what we hope will be the first of many winetasting fundraisers for Pawsitively Cats. Please come join us at this Sunday early evening gathering for an enjoyable time tasting wine and supporting the felines of Pawsitively Cats! A portion of the $25 tasting fee will benefit the Paws Cats.
